NRA Range Safety Officer
Teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations.

This course is at least 9-hours long and includes classroom time learning the role of the RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures; range inspection, rules, and safety briefings; emergency procedures, firearm stoppages and malfunctions. Students will receive the NRA Range Safety Officer Course Study Guide, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, NRA Basic Firearm Training Program brochure, and NRA Instructor/ Range Safety Officer Application form.

All firearm handling is closely supervised and professionally managed at all times. Class lecture time is conducted indoors in a comfortable learning environment. Instructors are NRA Certified Instructors and active members of Sacramento County Firearms Education and Safety Council.
Classroom time nine hours.

All materials and range fees are provided: instructional materials and guns. Lunch is also provided with a deli sandwich or salad, chips, and water or soda. NRA processing and certification fees not included in class price. Bring a check or credit card for NRA fees.
